Isn't she from Felony Flats?
Oh wait....... The Mount Scott Neighborhood association voted that name out last year and changed it......... What is it now? Methamphetamine Manor? Gotta Love Tanya though, she Portland's most famous star and is now on the show on TruTV..... When the outside world looks at portland all they see is nut jobs, I was watching a documentary on Nike the other day and their Portland Based founder was on there and he looked pretty damn rough. |

The 1970's Portland Wrestling footage that you'll see on You Tube, including the Ventura interview and Rose Snuka match, come from the 1970's
format Quasar tapes I got from Playboy Buddy Rose back in 2001. (I go by musicguy64 on YouTube.) The story is pretty well known, as Buddy originally taped
these on one of the first home video machines. Once VHS became common in 1980, he switched over and stored the Quasar tapes away in his garage, where they
stayed for over 20 years. He was going to toss the tapes in the garbage, as he had no way to play them. The tapes (about 40 of them) are twice the size of
a VHS tape, so they took up alot of room. Instead, I took them and spent the next two years researching the format of the tape and then getting them
restored. In all, I got about 27 hours of Portland footage from August 1977-February 1980, along with four hours of San Francisco's "Big Time
Wrestling" from 1978. I also have about 100 hours of Portland Wrestling footage from 1980-1991 that came from both Buddy's & my own personal
collection.
For me, the most important part of the project was uncovering the only know footage of the great Lonnie Mayne wrestling at the Portland Sports Arena. Glad everyone likes them! |
