One month after its sizzling Super Summer Spectacular, the West Coast Wrestling Connection outdoes itself once again with this weekend's event at the
Regional Sports Center in Springfield!
The WCWC Lightning Division Championship is on the line once again, as G-Shock defends the title against Evan Jelik in a rematch from last month. At the Summer Spectacular, things were going Jelik's way, until Dr. Kliever entered the ring and assaulted the fan favorite, ending the match in a disqualification and preventing G-Shock from losing the belt. Will the newcomer from Nevada be able to overcome the odds and become the new Lightning Division Champ? Or will the cocky G-Shock walk away with still champion?
Speaking of Dr. Kliever, the Good Doctor of the WC will have his hands full as he takes on fellow big man Exile! Fresh off a valiant effort against "Gentleman" George Michael, the man from Felony Flats was unable to defeat the Englishman to become the new WCWC Champion, and that loss has him in a foul mood going into this weekend's big event. But Kliever, ever the tactician, could use Exile's anger to his advantage and pull off an impressive victory. With these two behemoths set to collide in the squared circle, it's sure to be a barn-burner!
And it's sure to be a "Springfield Slobberknocker" as former WCWC Tag Team Champion Erik Baeden takes on Brandon Gatson in a rematch from the Super Summer Spectacular! When these two butted heads last month,
some outside interference by General Manager JT Allen led to Gatson being distracted long enough for Baeden to capitalize and steal a victory. Although the decision was later reversed by WCWC Co-Owner Jeff Manning, the Empire Wrestling Federation Champion remained incensed and demanded revenge, hence this scheduled rematch. Given the mean streak these two men are known to possess, it's entirely likely that one (or both) men could be unable to walk away from the ring under his own power!
Saturday's main event is sure to go down as one of the most brutal in WCWC history, as Heavyweight Champion "Gentleman" George Michael defends the title against Bolo in a Springfield Strap Match! Bolo has fought Michael on many occasions in his quest to become the top dog in the WC, only to have his golden opportunity slip away. But after winning last month's "Rags to Riches Beat the Clock" Gauntlet, Bolo made it clear that he wants another shot at George's belt! Not only will George be unable to run from the #1 contender thanks to the leather strap bound at each man's wrist, but the Champ will also be unable to look to his business partner, General Manager JT Allen, for assistance. That's because Allen will be strapped to one of the ring posts, and will be unable to interfere! Will Bolo finally achieve his goal to become the WCWC Heavyweight Champion? Or will the devious Michael find a way to sneak out of Springfield with the gold once again? You'll have to see the action live to find out!
